HeatPeek Camera Mount

A printable case for the Thermal Master P3 with two GoPro-style interfaces —
one on the short end, one on the long side.
Put it on an extension cable and the camera sits on any arm, clamp or tripod
head instead of hanging off a phone, clamped along its length or across it.

It does NOT fit the P1 — that camera has a different body.


FILES

.stl    for slicing. Understood by every slicer.
.3mf    for slicing. Same geometry, but carries its unit (millimetres), so
        there is no scaling guesswork. Prefer this one if your slicer takes it.
.step   for editing. Real geometry, not a triangle mesh — open it in Fusion,
        FreeCAD, Onshape or SolidWorks and change what you need.


PRINTING

Material     PETG or ASA. Not PLA: it softens around 60 C, which a car in
             summer reaches easily.
Orientation  Flat on the base, as exported. This lays the fingers of the end
             mount in the print plane, so bending load runs along the
             extrusions rather than across the layers.
Perimeters   4 to 5. The mounts and the snap arms are what break.
Supports     None needed.

The side mount is the weaker of the two: its fingers stand upright when the
part is printed flat, and both mounts cannot lie favourably at once. Fine for
normal use, but avoid sudden loads on it.

The camera drops in from above and is held by two snap arms at the flat end.
The focus ring end is left open on purpose so the ring stays reachable.


FIT
---
Two clearances may need adjusting for your printer:

  Camera pocket   0.35 mm total, over 59.0 x 27.0 mm
  Mount fingers   3.0 mm thick against the 3.5 mm gaps of the mating part

If the camera is tight or the mount will not slide into your adapter, widen
these in the STEP file rather than scaling the whole part.
